Relationship therapy can mean work with one person, 2 or even 5 people – what deems it relationship therapy is the focus on their close relationships.
We live, grow and flourish in relationships. We also heal, change and overcome obstacles through relationships. In family therapy, we can work together to identify where strength, resilience, and resources lie. It is in the context of our strengths that we can then begin to challenge what we tell ourselves about whatever situation is troubling us or affecting our lives.
Common reasons families seek support include:
-
Complex trauma, adoption and attachment concerns
-
Adjusting to a blended family status
-
Improving communication and conflict resolution skills
-
A family member’s illness or a death in the family
-
Children’s behavior problems
I have extensive training, comfort, and experience in working with various family dynamics.
